Most cabins at Lake Cushman were built with just 1-2 bedrooms... but we felt like that just wasn't quite enough when traveling with our kid and her friends or another family. So in addition to the 2 private bedrooms upstairs each with a queen bed, we added custom adult-sized bunks in the basement.
Wake up to this gorgeous view! We offer sleeping masks if needed and apologies to those who don’t like to be awakened with the early PNW sunrise. For those who need to work a bit, there is high speed internet and a beautiful live edge desk and soft suede chair.
The 2nd bedroom upstairs across the hallway from the Master has a view of Otter Cove (yes! there are river otters!) and when it is not covered in mist, the peak of Mt. Elinor. It also has blackout shades for those who want to sleep in.
Custom perpendicular (adult height) bunk beds with queen size on bottom and full size on top. We had these designed so that sleepers on both sides can sit up without knocking their heads to easily exit and have a place to place their personal items.
Families love the separation of space our cabin offers with a main living room upstairs for the adults and large bonus room downstairs for the kids. When weather permits, just sitting outside on the upper deck is the perfect place for happy hour, or downstaris on the covered patio during a rainstorm.
Enjoy amazing panoramic view of the lake and surrounding mountains from a super comfortable sofa. Steps away enjoy the wood-burning stove which heats this floor in the cooler months
The lower level is one great room (550 sq. feet) and has the entertainment area with a large comfortable sofa, leather arm chair & ottoman, soft blankets and 70” Smart TV with access to streaming platforms. We have a collection of games, books and yoga mats for our guests to enjoy. For the kids, our daughter created the Owlets Hangout, a comfy nook under the spiral staircase with pillows and cushions.
Just off the main level is a wrap-around deck, perfect for just taking in the magnificence of the Olympic mountains. Adirondack chairs and a dining set are available.
Out the basement sliding glass door is a covered patio for relaxing outside any time of year. A few steps away is a firepit with Adirondack chairs for relaxing at the end of the day.
On the main floor is an open kitchen with beautiful butcher block countertops. The kitchen is stocked with all you need to enjoy cooking—we hate rentals without sufficient kitchen gear- so rest assured we have stocked for our family and yours:
high quality knives, good collection of pots and pans, cookie sheets, cutting boards
variety of spices, olive oil, coffee, tea and sugar
an ample supply of kitchen towels
new induction range with air fryer, 8-cup drip coffee maker (no grinder), toaster, blender, hot water kettle, cheese grater, small rice maker, oyster shucking & crab cracker tools
Tablecloth and cloth napkins plus wipeable placemats for kids
Gas BBQ grill on the deck
One thing to note is no dishwasher. Welcome to our cabin that was originally built in 1969! Enjoy taking in the views as you wash your dishes. There is also a ½ bath combined with laundry room adjoining the kitchen.
Enjoy the view as you cook in this well-stocked kitchen with gorgeous butcher block countertops & induction range.
Beautiful live edge dining table seats 6. We stock cloth napkins as well as tablecloth & placemats for kids, if needed.
When the weather permits, enjoying a meal on the deck immersed in the beauty of the area is pure delight.
From Memorial Day thru Labor Day when the lake level is up, enjoy our private dock and use any of our toys including two stand-up paddle boards (SUPs), a kids kayak, a 16 ft. touring kayak, a pedal boat, and a canoe.
We're located in the neighborhood closest to Olympic National Park, Mt. Rose and Mt. Elinos trailheads, the Big Creek hike and others. Come explore the beauty of the mountains!
For those seeking more stillness and silence, we provide yoga mats, books on both meditation and yoga, and recommendations on guided meditations to relax into the present moment.
Just out the basement sliding doors is our firepit for enjoying evening campfires & S'mores. Stargazing here is also incredible!
Option to book private in-cabin massage with local masseuse with over 20 years experience. She will come right to the cabin and set up her massage table in the basement to help you relax and unwind.
Two full bathrooms-- one on the top floor with a large walk in shower, and one on the basement level with a tub/shower combo. On the main level, just off the kitchen is a 1/2 bathroom along with our well-stocked laundry room.
Located on the top floor of the cabin, this bathroom has a fully tiled walk-in shower and custom copper sink.
On the ground floor adjacent to the adult-sized bunks is a full bathroom with tub/shower combo.
